Advent 2018 Day 7

Advent Day 7: The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. Mary and I haven’t always gotten along, that is, until I read her radical Magnificat carefully and realized that she was a prophet who proclaimed the mercy of God, who lifts up the lowly and the poor. I began my devotion to Mary through this image of her as the Undoer of Knots. I can hand Mary all those problems of the world that I have no control over and she will unravel them. She is the new Eve untying Eve’s disobedience through her faith, which we read about today in Luke 1. Look at her foot crushing the head of the serpent! Mary Undoer of Knots pray for me
